Beneficiaries of the ETI-Guamote project served by the Mobile Health Unit of the Provincial Board

The Mobile Health Unit of the Provincial Board assisted 20 children and adolescents from the Sablog Santa Leticia community, Matriz de Guamote parish in general medicine and dentistry, beneficiaries of the project “Progressive Eradication of Child Labor” ETI-Guamote, carried out by a Inter-institutional agreement between the Prefecture of Chimborazo and MIES, together with the cantonal GAD.

The beneficiaries of the ETI-Guamote project are between 06 to 17 years of age, inhabitants of rural communities; The Sablog, Pules and Jatunpamba, who received a kit for oral health, within the preventive campaign that the Provincial Board is undertaking.

Luis Naranjo, a dentist, assisted the beneficiaries of Guamote with the placement of sealants, dental cleaning and fluoridation, as well as providing information on the oral health and prevention campaign.

On his side, Santiago Pazán, a specialist in general medicine, found problems of malnutrition and parasitosis, and to combat these mishaps, he gave nutritional supplements and multivitamins with the corresponding treatments to each of the patients.

“The children deserve all the contribution and medical assistance possible, thank you very much for the care and free medicine,” said Velky Díaz, clinical psychologist of the ETI-Guamote project and thanked the Chimborazo Prefecture for the help provided and the timely collaboration to serve to the vulnerable population.

Kléver Buñay, adolescent beneficiary of the ETI “Progressive Eradication of Child Labor” project, highlighted the work of Dr. Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of the province, for sending the medical brigade, “the doctors treated me with cordiality and gave me medicines, I’m very happy, ”he said.
