Complying with the contingency plan implemented due to the health emergency by Covid-19, the prefect of Chimborazo Juan Pablo Cruz arrived at the Licto and Pungalá parishes of the Riobamba canton with the disinfection brigades, delivery of food kits and lime.
The aim of the province’s first authority is to guarantee asepsis throughout the province, to prevent the spread of the virus.
The tour started with the disinfection of Leopoldo Freire avenue and the delivery of lime, from the stretch from the Riobamba Social Rehabilitation Center to the La Inmaculada neighborhood.
Later it was the turn of the Tunshi San Javier community of the Licto parish, the sector through which the alternate Riobamba – Macas road crosses. This is an extensive agricultural area that provides food to the entire country.
Likewise, the Institution’s nebulizer tractor arrived at the Tunshi San Ignacio and Tunshi Grande communities, disinfecting the main entrances and secondary streets. To culminate with the fumigation of the parish capitals of Licto and Pungalá, the delivery of food kits and lime.
Oswaldo Morocho, on behalf of the benefited sectors, thanked the Prefecture of Chimborazo in the person of the prefect Juan Pablo Cruz for these actions, which benefit more than 1,500 inhabitants of the sector.
