The Chimborazo Prefecture, through the Provincial Board, provided food rations to older adults, vulnerable people, pregnant mothers and citizens affected by the current health emergency in the Palmira parish in the Guamote canton. In response to the request made by Andrea Robles, Queen of Palmira, the prefect Juan Pablo Cruz sent technicians from the Provincial Board of Trustees to carry out the delivery of 123 food kits, in a special event carried out on the sports field of the parish, complying with all biosafety protocols. The sovereign of the parish thanked the Prefect of Chimborazo for the willingness to help with the food rations, which are sorely lacking in the homes of the residents. Likewise, the request of the informal merchants and residents of the “Santa Anita de La Dolorosa” neighborhood, in the city of Riobamba, where 100 food kits were delivered, was attended to vulnerable people who are in a precarious situation due to the health emergency situation that the country lives. Francisco Haro, technician of the Provincial Board of Trustees, assured that these deliveries ratify the commitment of the prefect, Juan Pablo Cruz, to continue helping and collaborating with vulnerable groups in the province, as part of their social policy.
