The Chimborazo Prefecture, through the Productive Development Directorate, inaugurated the Technical Assistance Unit for Productive Change in the Penipe canton, which operates in the shelter of this sector.
The objective is to join efforts and institutional wills that allow optimizing the use of human, technical, economic and material resources in carrying out co-management activities in the area of Productive Development with the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Province of Chimborazo with the support of the Municipality of Penipe for the Plan of Reactivation for the Productive Change of the Great Chimborazo.
“This is the first opening of a livestock and agricultural technical advisory office, it is something very important that we are exercising the powers of productive development because we understand and understand that the farmer, rancher and entrepreneur, needs support and advice on the technical side “Said Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of Chimborazo.
Professional technicians in; agronomy, zootechnics, agribusiness and credit, will help to plan and direct the procedures of those who seek this Unit, in addition, to train all producers, gathering information on the territory, thus avoiding that people have to travel to Riobamba to the central plant offices, and thus, speed up the execution of your projects.
“These advisory services, through professional technicians, all qualified (…) have no cost,” said the Prefect.
It is intended that in the future the products with the Chimborazo brand can be exported to national and international markets, with their correct qualification, to achieve the value of the work of the Chimborazo people.
“This articulation will make it possible to find a solution to the great problems that are being experienced, therefore, we want to be generators of important resources for our province,” said Lourdes Mancero, mayor of Penipe.
In the next few days other Units will be inaugurated in the other cantons of the province.
