As part of the “Reactivation Plan for Productive Change of the Great Chimborazo”, the Prefecture works intensively in the Agricultural Development Program, whose objective is to increase the productivity of agricultural production systems in a sustainable way, through the seed production, agricultural innovation, sustainable livestock and aquaculture.
In what has to do with Sustainable Livestock, the Prefecture develops a schedule that is being executed, according to Leonidas Lima of the Integral Rural Development Unit (UDRI), who is part of the team of mobile agro-veterinary clinics implemented with this objective, together with Luis López and Diego Calderón.
During the current week, the deworming and vitaminization campaign reached Sangano and Llallanag in Alausí; Flores, Licto and Quimiag in Riobamba; San Francisco de Bellut in Guamote; Balaazul in Pallatanga; and, Sucamal in Cumandá.
The prefect Juan Pablo Cruz, during the launch of the “Plan of Reactivation for the Productive Change of the Great Chimborazo”, announced that more than 2.5 million dollars will be invested to guarantee that the productive sectors are not affected by the emergency. sanitary.
