The members of the “Committee of Local Management and Community Conservation Qápaq Ñan (Inca Trail)”, representatives of the Parish GAD of Achupallas, the Sangay National Park Reserve and the Ministry of Tourism, and teachers of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo maintained a Working meeting with Luis Falconí, Tourism Advisor of the Chimborazo Prefecture.

The objective was to seek joint alternatives that allow the Inca Trail to be revalued, since they ensure that the populations that are settled on the route of the ancestral Andean road system Qhapaq Ñan have not benefited from the declaration as World Heritage of Humanity, which proposed Through Italian cooperation, promote community heritage tourism, to boost the tourism of the territories and the conservation of this heritage.

Luis Falconí expressed the commitment of the prefect Juan Pablo Cruz with the mission of revaluing the attractions of the province, for which it is essential to start from compliance with current regulations, the development of sustainable projects with the support of the academy and the commitment of each territory .

For this purpose, the Provincial Committee of Tourism Management was created, as coordinating entity of the promotion of our destinations through printed and digital material, participation in national and international fairs such as FITUR in Spain, among others.
