An inter-institutional cooperation agreement was signed between the Chimborazo and Morona Santiago Prefectures, during the solemn commemorative session for the 68 years of the founding of this eastern Ecuadorian province; The event took place at the “Washington Ricaurte” municipal theater in the city of Macas, which was attended by national authorities such as Guadalupe Llori, president of the National Assembly; provincial assembly members; Rafael Antuni, prefect of Morona Santiago; Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of Chimborazo; Edgar Quezada, prefect of Sucumbíos; among others.
Within the agreements, it was established that producers and entrepreneurs from both Chimborazo and Morona Santiago participate in the weekly and fortnightly fairs, in the marketing circuits through mobile fairs, strengthening spaces that contribute to economic reactivation.
“It is a new opportunity for entrepreneurs to offer their products in different provinces, boosting their economy,” said Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of Chimborazo.
Rafael Antuni, prefect of Morona Santiago, thanked the Chimborazo Prefecture for the project to support the marketing of producers and entrepreneurs in the well-being of the economic reactivation of their area.
“These strategic alliances are the right way to reflect true support for entrepreneurs, who need to reactivate their families’ economy,” said Antuni.
However, this is not the first time that actions have been articulated between the two Provincial Governments for collective development and progress. “We have been historically united for a long time and the only thing we are being are channels for our societies to come together and for equality to exist,” concluded the prefect of Chimborazo.
