Juan Pablo Cruz, Prefect of Chimborazo, as Vice President of the Provincial COE, reported to the plenary session the response actions that the Provincial Government has deployed, around the adverse event, produced by the ash fall from the Sangay volcano.
1.- At the moment, all the Agroveterinary Mobile Clinics have been activated to collaborate in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), in the application of medicines to sheep and cattle of livestock families in rural areas, taking into account that it is their daily sustenance.
2.- Through institutional management, more than 20 tons of feed for cattle that are at risk will be delivered this Friday, March 12.
3.- The health van was ordered to collaborate with the Ministry of Public Health in the care of affected people, mainly in their respiratory system, medical check-up, among other preventive aspects.
4.- The Irrigation Systems that are in charge of the Prefecture are 100% functional.
5.- Collaboration actions are coordinated with the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) for the provision of food rations in the affected rural areas of the province.
6.- The damages produced by the landslide on the Pungalapamba-Alao road, belonging to the Pungalá parish of the Riobamba canton, were evaluated. Once the fall of material has been corroborated, the emergency intervention with institutional machinery has been planned to carry out maintenance, grading and shaping work, in order to enable free circulation.
The entire team of the Provincial Government of Chimborazo remains active to carry out immediate response actions, in the event of any adverse event that occurs in our territory.
