The Information Technology Coordination closed the Yachay Tic’s technology bus project at the Quitumbe Educational Unit in the Chunchi canton. This event had the participation of Carmen Gadbay, vice-prefect of Chimborazo and other local authorities and the educational institution.
Isabel Parra, rector of the Quitumbe Educational Unit, mentioned that joint work makes any project to be developed possible, for which she thanked the Chimborazo Prefecture for having provided the opportunity for students to be able to develop in various digital and technological educational activities that they serve for academic growth.
María del Carmen Aucancela, technician responsible for the execution of the Yachay Tic’s technology bus project, said that in this sector there has been 95% active participation by students, information has been shared on basic electronics, robotics, management of interactive tools, among others.
Likewise, Leonardo Mosquera, zonal director of the Ministry of Education, commented that the Ministry of Education guarantees a quality, equitable and inclusive education, strategic alliances have been coordinated with the Prefecture of Chimborazo that have been of benefit to this sector, and also concluded : “Investing in education is investing in the future, investing in the process of comprehensive training of the entire educational environment,” he said.
Tatiana Cando, student and beneficiary of the technological bus project, spoke out saying that they have acquired various technological knowledge that will be of great contribution to their lives, also thanking Dr. Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of Chimborazo, for bringing the bus to this sector. He also thanks the Quitumbe Educational Unit because that way they learn more about technology and that fills them with motivation to keep going.
For 4 months, the Yachay Tic’s technology bus has provided its service in this sector so that children and young people can have greater access and knowledge within the technology area.
