Vulnerable groups from Peltetec receive support from the Chimborazo Prefecture for medical assistance

The Mobile Health Unit of the Provincial Board of Trustees delivered medical services in the specialties of dentistry and general medicine to the residents of the Peltetec community in the Pungalá parish, Riobamba canton.

The elderly, people with disabilities, mothers of families, children and adolescents received free medical assistance and medicines. The vice-prefect, Carmen Gadvay, accompanied the medical brigade and indicated the commitment and permanent support of Dr. Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of the province, to vulnerable groups, through the support of health professionals.

Margoth Tixi, Queen of the community, recognized the support provided by the Chimborazo Prefecture and the medical health brigade, “on behalf of my people, I want to congratulate you for the management you carry out for the benefit of the rural sector,” he said.

On his side, Pedro Reino, president of people with disabilities at Peltetec, mentioned that, “for many years they have been forgotten, for that reason I thank the Provincial Government that they come to provide health care to the people who need them most, we are 12 older children with different disabilities, may God also pay them for the medicines they gave us free of charge ”.

Blanca Chariguamán sent a greeting to the Prefect of Chimborazo for helping families who are ill, “we cannot go to the Health Center of the parish head for fear of contagion or lack of money, therefore, thank you for collaborating with us, everything is free, even the medicines. We are happy and happy to help us ”, he stressed.
