Road and asphalt improvement will benefit 11 communities in Colta

The Chimborazo Prefecture carried out the improvement, maintenance and ballasting of the road ring that connects the Riobamba-Guayaquil road with the Riobamba-Cuenca road and that benefits more than 1000 families from the 11 communities of the Colta canton, making the dream of the inhabitants come true in approximately 8 kilometers of intervention.

Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of Chimborazo, said that after decades of oblivion, this route will allow a productive and economic development of the sector. “We have delivered a road improvement, that is, a road ballast of around 8 kilometers. The residents take ownership of the public works, because they know that change is coming to their communities, parishes and cantons; with the history of neglect and abandonment, this productive sector, farmer and rancher could not develop, today they have new roads, in good condition and most importantly in such a short period of time ”, he said.

The provincial authority highlighted the good news for the leaders, leaders, councils and inhabitants of this sector, regarding the intervention not only in road improvement, but also in asphalt treatment, “In 2021 and 2022 we will do the intervention at the asphalt layer level Today with great enthusiasm for all fellow entrepreneurs, ranchers and farmers in the province, it is a reality.

For his part, Francisco Mocha, leader of the Cebollar Alto community, expressed his gratitude to the authority. “We are grateful to the prefect of the province for the attention given to our community; It has been a three-week maintenance work, a road ring that will improve access to the different communities of the canton. Since 1995 we have had bad road conditions, never before has an authority reached our community, but this new administration has come to support and attend to the needs of the Colta canton ”.

The work will benefit the 11 communities in the area and more than 1,000 families that have not been served in previous years.
