The Mobile Medical Unit of the Provincial Board attended 53 people, belonging to the priority groups of the San Antonio de Guagñag community of the Licto parish, Riobamba canton in the specialties of general medicine and dentistry.
Boys, girls, mothers and fathers, as well as the elderly and people with disabilities, received health services from the medical brigade made up of the dentist, Luis Naranjo, and the general practitioner, Santiago Pazán, accompanied by the nursing assistant. , Cristian Uquillas, in charge of the primary evaluations in the taking of vital signs, height and weight.
Of the total number of people seen, 38 patients were reviewed with the general practitioner. Malnutrition and parasitosis problems were found in boys and girls, while older adults had diseases such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, high blood pressure and upper respiratory infections. All of them were given free multivitamins, antiparasitics, antibiotics, suspensions and pain relievers.
On his side, the dental doctor, attended 15 people who performed extractions and dental fittings, as well as gave them recommendations for prevention and oral health.
