The Prefecture of Chimborazo, through the Directorate of Productive Development under the Coordination of Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Marketing, made the official launch of the “Fondo Emprende Chimborazo Productivo”, which will benefit entrepreneurs in the province of Chimborazo with a non-fund refundable for the strengthening of its production.
The prefect of the province, Juan Pablo Cruz, stated that as a provincial institution they have worked on the first ordinance in the history of the Provincial Government, “despite how difficult it has been to raise this new government, we are articulated with other provinces to be able to integrate at a commercial, academic and administrative level (…). We are linked with marketing networks and with the academy to promote the business plan, with the aim of changing the life of Chimboracenses socially and economically “.
The Productive Development Directorate, within its production reactivation plans, works with seven emblematic projects for the province. The objective of the Chimborazo Productive Fund is to provide citizens with a non-reimbursable competitive fund to promote the ventures of the people of Chimborazo.
On November 20, 2020, the ordinance that encourages entrepreneurship and production was approved, where the Emprende Chimborazo Productive Fund was established with a budget of USD 150,000 to strengthen the productive entities of the province.
The call to apply will be open until March 31, 2021 and a business plan must be submitted, which will have the direct support of the academy, through the National University of Chimborazo and the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo.
Adriana Ortiz, representative of CEAS GLOBAL, expressed the importance of these actions for the benefit of Chimboracenses. “I congratulate the Prefecture, and especially the Prefect of the province for this fund, since the government entity is the primary part for Ecuador’s production. With this fund, the supply chain and the productive chain can be improved, which It will lead the province of Chimborazo to be the best exporter in Ecuador, “he said.
At the event, awards were given to the entrepreneurs of the Province, who are a representative entity of the Sultana de los Andes at the service of the citizens. In addition, the work of the academy was recognized for the representatives of the two higher education institutions of Chimborazo.
