The Prefecture of Chimborazo strengthens the activities of the Child Development Center “Gotitas de Miel”, which is maintained through an inter-institutional agreement between the Provincial Board of Chimborazo and the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion, which operates within the Higher Technological Institute “Riobamba ”With a coverage of 36 boys and girls.
The CDI “Gotitas de Miel” has the support and permanent assistance of the coordinator, Inés Puglla, MIES official, and the educators; Mónica Guillén, Mayra Saca, Fanny Puma, Pilar Chavarría and Cecilia Meza, technician of the Provincial Board.
Mónica Guillén, educator of the Provincial Board, announced that the work continues on the welfare of families and children who are users of the Child Development Center, through the modality of telework, as well as home visits, once a week.
The tasks are sent to parents, through phone calls and videos, by digital means, which contain activities related to language, putting into practice early stimulation with recreational and playful exercises, as well as fine motor skills and thick with different techniques of fingerprint painting and embolillado, shaped and torn.
The Educator of the Provincial Board said that every weekend they also perform dance therapy and traditional games as a family, “they are sent to the group of parents, they do it with great affection and share photos and videos of how they work at home, along with their children, ”he said.
He added that, in the same way, they are pending medical control, nutrition and biosafety measures and the corresponding protocols to prevent the covid-19 virus, “likewise the food kits are delivered to the parents, in coordination with the person in charge and technicians from the Provincial Board.
