Better roads for the Licán parish with the intervention of the Provincial Government

About 800 families from the Licán parish of the Riobamba canton benefit from the road works carried out by the Chimborazo Prefecture in this sector, they are 10 kilometers long, the distance that the maintenance works include.

“We have started depending on the road section, we are currently disqualifying, because the material is quite compact, to later carry out a reconformation of the road (…) we have been able to advance with the works without major inconveniences”, indicated Tatiana Orozco, technician of Public Works of the Provincial Government of Chimborazo.

These works are carried out with machinery of the institution, among them is: a motor grader, loader, roller, tanker and a dump truck; that allow the intervention to be carried out according to the established planning.

“We carry out the monitoring of the schedule of activities planned for the entire province (…) in this area specifically, it is being complied with; there are two weeks of established time for this maintenance ”, explained Lorena Mita, inspector of the work.

Guillermo Llanga, president of the San Francisco de Macají neighborhood, pointed out: “Here is made what is a foundation in bronze, handmade rubbers such as tubs, rubber blocks and many handicrafts (…) this intervention facilitates transporting them, boosting our economy” .

For Jaime Yautibug, a resident of this sector, it is important to improve the roads in this area, because it connects with other towns and strategically defuses vehicular traffic, in addition, it facilitates his economic activity of the purchase and sale of minor species, with which he has achieved support his family.
