The Prefecture of Chimborazo designed a provincial tourist and festive agenda, which will take place from February 6 to 24 and includes recreational, gastronomic, entrepreneurship and artistic activities, which will allow local, national and international tourists to enjoy one of the most festive important as is the carnival.
The activities started on February 6 with the launch of the carnival celebration, an act in which the prefect of Chimborazo Juan Pablo Cruz invited the country and the world to enjoy all the activities that have been proposed with the aim of developing tourism and generate sources of employment.
On Saturday, February 22 from 09:00, the Gastronomic and Artistic Fair will take place on Juan Montalvo and Veloz streets; at 10:00 will start the Corsican of the “Carnival closest to the Sun”, which will travel the main streets of the city; and, at 19:00 on the esplanade of the Quinta Macají fairgrounds, citizens can enjoy the presentation of Jorge Celedón and La Toquilla, in an artistic show that aims to collect non-perishable supplies in favor of the campaign “Zero Malnutrition” carried out by the Prefecture through the Provincial Board.
In addition, the agenda includes activities in all cantons and parishes, making available to visitors a wide range of places, landscapes, customs and food that characterize the province of Chimborazo.
In this way, the current provincial administration promotes tourism, generating trade opportunities for our people.
