New works and projects for the growth of the province

At the Chimborazo Prefecture facilities, the session of the “Provincial Planning Council” was held, in which the representatives of the 10 Municipalities and 45 Parish Gad’s participated; Here the lines of action drawn were socialized, for the execution of projects in fiscal year 2022.

Roberth Ríos, Director of Strategic Planning of the Provincial Government, highlighted the importance of generating spaces for social participation through assemblies in each of the parishes. “Today we are talking about works that are going to be carried out, they are not words to the wind, and it is thanks to all those who allowed each assembly to know the priorities of their parishes and cantons,” he said. In these assemblies, democratic participation was guaranteed according to the principles of: equality, equity, inclusion, territorial and sectoral representation, transparency, parity, democratization, joint responsibility, diversity, non-discrimination.

Among the projects to be carried out are: the construction of road works, provision of construction materials for a paving stone factory, construction of a water reservoir tank for irrigation, provision of agricultural and veterinary inputs, rehabilitation of tourist sites, acquisition of pipes for irrigation water, acquisition of birds, fruit plants, grass, potato seeds, machinery, improved breed guinea pigs, purchase of materials and seeds, for the elaboration of orchards, implementation of the technified irrigation system, in the 10 cantons; the investment reaches USD 1’420,000.00.

In addition, it was reported that the Autonomous Parish Governments of Pumallacta, Cacha and Quimiag, will receive transfers of funds, to acquire supplies and machinery that promote the economic growth of their population; Among the projects to be executed with these items are: acquisition of a motor grader, provision of pipes, paving stones, sheep, birds, fruit plants, grass and potato seeds. In this way, the Prefecture of Chimborazo guarantees the equitable distribution of public resources, through dialogue and permanent consensus.
