The Chimborazo Prefecture signed the agreement for the Transfer of Competencies to the Municipal GAD’s of Chambo and Guamote, for the execution of projects in the field of productive development, which will benefit hundreds of families.
“The provisions of the Transfer of Competences ordinance have been complied with (…) and there is a logical reason for what is being done; This is the good news that we all want to hear, which will generate sources of employment for families and will boost their economy; trade in our province will be turned around ”, explained Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect of Chimborazo.
To Chambo, the competence for the execution of the project “Construction of a Milk Collection Center in the community of Ainche – Ulpan” was transferred.
“I congratulate you, Mr. Prefect, for this delegation of powers (…) Chambo is a highly productive canton and the cost of milk is very low (…) to thank you (Prefect) and we will be presenting other projects,” said Marcos Guaraca, Mayor of Chambo.
For its part, Guamote was given the delegation of competence to execute the projects of “Genetic improvement of cattle, through the purchase of Holstein Friesian and / or Bron Swiss cows for 72 families of the Tiocajas Palacio Huatana community, Matriz parish” , similar to this will be fulfilled in the Sablog Santa Martha community of the same parish.
Another project that will take place in Guamote is the “Improvement of soil fertility in the Chauzán San Alfonso community, Palmira parish, for the production of 15 hectares of pasture.”
“We are grateful and we want this to be the beginning to continue executing actions, you in Guamote have a mayor ally for these work nexuses,” emphasized Delfín Quishpe, mayor of Guamote.
Among the commitments, technical inspections are contemplated in the territory by the personnel of the Provincial Government, to verify compliance with the signed agreements.
