Prefecture delivers food rations for priority attention groups in Chimborazo

The Chimborazo Prefecture, through the Provincial Board, delivered 3,500 food rations to the residents of communities, neighborhoods and parishes of the Guano canton.

As part of the campaign “Draw a smile to those who need it most”, the institution visits the corners of the province. Vinicio Chávez, director of the Provincial Board, mentioned that by working together with the prefect, Juan Pablo Cruz, actions are developed for the benefit of Chimboracenses.

“Given the problem of the covid-19 pandemic, which is affecting all the inhabitants of the province, the country and the world, we are reaching each of the families with a grain of sand, we hope it will be of great benefit. It will be the beginning of various aid that will arrive in each of the territories, ”said the highest provincial authority.

For his part, Raúl Cabrera, mayor of Guano, said that being able to work together and in unity with the Chimborazo Prefecture generates results in the well-being of vulnerable people and those who need support and help to improve their living conditions.

Carlos Puente, president of the El Rosario de Guano Workers’ Society, thanked the inhabitants for their willingness. “Thanks to the goodwill of the Prefect because he is always thinking about the welfare of the inhabitants of the province and the most needy people of the canton,” he stressed.

Beneficiaries of the Guano canton highlighted the action that is being carried out for nutritional support in each canton of Chimborazo. The campaign will allow the delivery of more than 50,000 food rations throughout the province..
