In order to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the south of the province, the Prefecture of Chimborazo, through the Directorate of Public Works, executes internal road maintenance works in the communities of Tablon Alto, Tablon Chafla, Saguín Alto and San Cristóbal, belonging to the Llagos parish of the Chunchi canton.
During the intervention, cleaning, ditching and ballasting were carried out in previously located critical points, these works benefit 120 livestock and agricultural families in the area.
“This intervention was carried out with the complete road team, considering the difficulty of the terrain, because it is located in the upper area of this canton, (…) the residents collaborated in the works, so that this work is carried out without inconvenience and as quickly as possible ”, indicated Betsy Altamirano, Public Works technician of the Provincial Government. The works were carried out from the E35 road to Cuenca, to the San Cristóbal community; They are 14 km long where the machinery of the Provincial Government intervened.
“This is not the first time that they are assisting us in roads (…) every time we have required support they have assisted us immediately, I am grateful for the work that has been carried out in these communities where they could not enter with vehicles to transport the products, ”said Fabián Bernal, president of the Llagos parish GAD.
For his part, José Freire, resident of the El Tablon community, stated that traveling along these roads became more worrisome every day and its economy was not revitalized, he also reported that: “Before we only took out our products in our little animals or we had to carry on the shoulders (…) with this we can enter without problems; this if it is a true work for us the poor who live in these communities ”.
