School kits are distributed to children and adolescents of the ETI project of the Provincial Board

The project “Progressive Eradication of Child Labor” of the Chimborazo Provincial Board, in agreement with the MIES, carry out various activities for the welfare and benefit of children and adolescents, trying to claim their rights and preventing them from doing any type of work or in a situation of begging. They also worked with parents and members of the community.

Dr. Mariana Carrillo, president of the Provincial Board of Trustees, and Isabel Maldonado, General Director of the Provincial Board, were present at the delivery of the school kits, held in each of the homes of the families of the users of the ETI project -Markets Riobamba.

Guido Cardozo, beneficiary of the Project, said that “thanks to the self-management of the multidisciplinary team, made up of the coordinator, social workers, psychologist and promoters, with the authorization of the General Director of the Provincial Board, Isabel Maldonado, it made it possible to obtain school supplies that are being distributed ”.

Each of the children’s homes was visited to deliver the school kit; 80 children and adolescents benefit from the ETI-Mercados Riobamba project. For the next few days a similar task will be carried out with the ETI-Achupallas team from the Alausí canton.

On the other hand, Miguel Ángel Cunduri Ortiz, father of a family of three children from the ETI project, thanked the Prefecture and Provincial Board of Trustees, “thank you very much for the help provided for our children, especially at this time when we are without financial resources, he thanks them a lot, these tools are a great support for the studies ”, he stressed.

“God pay you for the visit and for the great work you do, for all that you have given us, it is a great help that benefits us a lot”, mentioned Ana Lucía Paucar Maza, mother of a family of 4 minors who are beneficiaries of the ETI project.
