Within the activities of the Reactivation Plan for the Productive Change of Greater Chimborazo, the Prefecture of Chimborazo, the Association of Restaurant and Related Owners of Chimborazo (APRECH) and the Ministry of Tourism, with the purpose of recovering the tourism sector, of the October 12 to 16 they organize Restaurant Week, an event in which 18 establishments participate with great promotions and discounts on national and international food consumption.
Luis Falconí, Tourism Advisor of the Chimborazo Prefecture, pointed out that “this activity is an initiative that promotes 18 companies and entrepreneurs considered as heroes of tourism, who have survived the conditions caused by the coronavirus health emergency, the same ones that have presented proposals to give discounts, promotions and development ”.
Within the Tourism Management Committee, strategies are developed to promote demand and consumption with Restaurant Week, which allows for better sales in restaurants and they can meet their delayed obligations, due to the pandemic, said Falconí.
Meanwhile Elvis Jiménez, president of the Chimborazo Restaurant and Related Owners Association (APRECH), reported that in participating restaurants there will be 2-for-1 promotions for the second course at half price, free drinks, discount amounts, credit cards. gift, all this depending on the participating venue.
Undoubtedly, the work of the Tourism Management Committee has been essential to work together, before and during the pandemic, and to generate better days in the new stage of reactivation, whose objective is to bring a tool that is put into practice in other places at the level international.
