The Chimborazo Prefecture continues with the delivery of organic plants in the Cumandá canton.
The Environmental Management Directorate of the Prefecture of Chimborazo, through the “Sowing for life Chimborazo” program, and in the company of Dr. Juan Pablo Cruz, prefect, delivered 4,100 native and fruit plants to representatives of the San Miguel de Bucay Chico Agricultural Association. The delivery of native plants was made: timber laurel, gadua cane, cedar and jacaranda, as well as fruit plants: fine aroma cocoa, Valencia orange and Washington orange.Juan Pablo Cruz, Prefect of the province, in his speech highlighted the work that the institution is doing with transparency and responsibility for the benefit of the cantons, parishes and communities of the province. There are 250 families from the enclosures; Santa Clara, San Jacinto, San Vicente, La Victoria, San Miguel de Bucay Chico and Suncamal that benefit from this project and whose objective is the reforestation of rural sectors to protect the province’s water system, in addition to providing support to the economic development of these areas.”We are grateful for your presence, we have carried out joint work with a concurrence agreement, in which the Chimborazo Prefecture is supporting us where it is most needed, in the field,” said Katya Espinoza, councilor of Cumandá.
