The Chimborazo Prefecture is still active with the delivery of products to those affected by the volcanic ash fall in the province

In Pallatanga, Las Rosas community, the second delivery of food for cattle was made, this population is one of the most affected by the ashfall of the Sangay volcano. There are approximately 150 families that received the help provided by the Chimborazo Prefecture, in coordination with the Directorate of Productive Development, who, through the technicians, work in the territory knowing the needs of the population.

“We are here to be in solidarity with you; the people of Chimborazo have given us their support, solidarity and have given us products to deliver in these difficult times ”, indicated María Teresa Rea, Technician of the Productive Development Development Unit, who provided food for the cattle.

Mentor Cruz, Social Management Technician in this area, recognized the effort made by the Prefecture to help this population that is hit by this crisis. “We are aware of all the needs that you have, we know there are many, but we are working to get there with this aid,” said Cruz, responsible for coordinating Pallatanga and Cumandá.

The residents of the Las Rosas community received 80 quintals of potatoes, 500 units of cabbage, 13 portions of corn husk, 15 of alfalfa, which were delivered by José Quishpe, president of the community. The community was grateful for the actions carried out by the Chimborazo Prefecture in these difficult times.

“Thank you Mr. Prefect, thank you all for collaborating and reaching out to us to give us a hand of faith and hope,” reaffirmed the president of this community upon receiving all this help.
