The Chimborazo Prefecture provides coverage in sustainable livestock throughout the province

Within the “Reactivation Plan for the Productive Change of Greater Chimborazo”, the Prefecture of Chimborazo is working on the Agricultural Development project, whose objective is to increase the productivity of the agricultural system in a sustainable way; through seed production, agricultural innovation, livestock and sustainable aquaculture.

It continues to support the animal care of the communities, organizations and families of the province, reactivating the rural economy of all sectors.

In the Colta canton, the San Bernardo, Cocha Corral Alto and Sasapud communities of the Columbe parish have been reached with mobile agro-veterinary clinics, attending 700 livestock, while in the Alausí canton, we attended 268 sheep and goats from the Cheesemakers Association from Pueblo Viejo of the Tixán parish, delivering vitamins and dewormers.

To date, 33,000 livestock have been attended to, in 120 communities of the 10 cantons and 45 parishes of Chimborazo, according to Edison Campos, Director (e) of the Directorate of Productive Development.

Residents of the communities benefited through this project are grateful for the support provided by the Chimborazo prefecture to these sectors of agricultural and livestock production in the province.
