The Chimborazo Prefecture provides technical and permanent follow-up to the fruit tree project in Penipe and San Luis

The Directorate of the Board of the Prefecture of Chimborazo made known to the inhabitants of Penipe and San Luis the project “Socio-Economic Strengthening for Families of Priority Groups”, whose objective is to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people of the cantons and parishes of the province.

The technicians followed up on the fruit tree project in Penipe and in the San Luis parish, Riobamba canton. Aurelio Espinoza and José Carrasco, technicians, went to the territory to review the family crops, observing the fulfillment of the project and recommending fundamental aspects in the technical management and care of the plantations, at the same time, showing that there is 100% of the seizure of the fruit plants.

In the San Luis parish, work is being done on the fruit trees project, benefiting 250 families from rural communities; San Antonio, Guaslán Grande, Corazón de Jesús, San Vicente de Tiaso and La Candelaria. And in Penipe 214 families have benefited.

Espinoza, Productive Development technician, indicates that in the Bayushig parish fertilization with organic matter and fertilizers with chemical characteristics has been developed to meet the nutritional needs of the plant

It is planned for the first week of October to give new training to all the beneficiaries in the technical management of fruit plants.
