The Chimborazo Prefecture, through the provincial Board of Trustees, the multidisciplinary team of the project “Progressive Eradication of Child Labor”, ETI-Achupallas of Alausí canton, in agreement with the MIES, work with 80 children and adolescents from the Nueva Pacha communities and Cochaloma.
Estefanía Barreto, psychologist of the ETI-Achupallas project of the Provincial Board, together with the rest of the professionals, carry out educational tasks on prevention measures against the health crisis, in accordance with the provisions of the National COE.
The multidisciplinary team maintains the face-to-face modality, resuming field work, making home visits to the project beneficiaries to develop psychological, social and educational follow-ups, in order to maintain good mental health, coexistence and academic performance.
Permanent inter-institutional coordination is maintained with the Directorate of the Provincial Board of Trustees for the donation and delivery of food kits for the families of children and adolescents, users of the ETI-Achupallas project, Barreto stressed. In the same way, it is being coordinated with the provincial Board of Trustees to schedule the departure of the Mobile Health Unit, during the month of September, to perform general medical check-ups on the 80 children and adolescents inserted in the inter-institutional program.
The objective of this control is to ensure that children and adolescents have a better way of life.
